LoveJoy Yoga Nidra Integration Retreat 7 day self-care retreat September 5-11, 2021
Integration is about coming back to wholeness.
At its core, Yoga Nidra is a guided practice of coming back to wholeness. When we feel separated from others, ourselves, our purpose and our spiritual connection, we can feel depleted and like something is wrong with us. This feeling of separation is a natural result of trauma and stress, and reconnection must happen in order to stay healthy in mind, body and spirit and fuel your purpose on this planet. By diving into Yoga Nidra and other healing modalities for an entire week, you will reconnect back to yourself and to Life itself, rejuvenating your energy, purpose, and joy.
Yoga Nidra is a transformative guided practice that facilitates the release of tension on all levels, assists in the unraveling of karma, promotes physiological and emotional wellbeing, and opens the door to expanded states of consciousness and manifestation abilities. Yoga Nidra can be used for spiritual development, to support mental health, or to rebalance the sleep cycle and healthy body function. It is an ancient science that has become more relevant and necessary than ever as a tool for the healing of humanity. On this retreat we will dive deep in learning how this ancient practice can support us in our modern world.
During our week together, you will have the opportunity to clear out old trauma and stagnation in your body and mind, align with your soul, awaken your consciousness, and activate your own inner healer through the ancient and powerful practice of Yoga Nidra.

LoveJoy Yoga Nidra is a powerful guided practice influenced by the teachings I have received through a decade of yoga, hypnotherapy, and shamanic studies. LoveJoy Yoga Nidra is guided by my ever evolving exploration of the healing potential of altered states of consciousness and a balanced nervous system. This style of Yoga Nidra is a systematic journeying practice that explores and clears different levels of consciousness, while supporting the grounding of spiritual energy into the physical body. This practice activates and maintains healthy functioning on body, mind, energy, and soul levels. The intention of this practice is to support our liberation, empowerment, creativity, unconditional love, and joy of being.
I am grateful to all my teachers who have contributed to the wisdom and healing I am blessed to carry: Alan Finger, Mona Anand, Jean Koerner, David Hartman, Michael Malone, Shahn McGuire, Susan Estep, and many more.
FAQ
How do I know if this is for me? Yoga Nidra is all about slowing down, being present, and allowing space for integration. After being on a retreat myself, I realized the profound impact that stepping away from my daily routine had on improving my life on all levels. Taking time out for reflection, rest, and exploration of the deeper parts of being human is so incredibly valuable for filling our own cup and being able to show up in the world from a place of greater service and integrity. Giving yourself the gift of this retreat allows you ample time to rest, reflect, receive, adventure, and connect.
How is Lovejoy Yoga Nidra different from other styles of Yoga Nidra? Lovejoy Yoga Nidra is founded on the principles and practice of the Satyananda style of Yoga Nidra from the Bihar lineage. Where LoveJoy Yoga Nidra differs is that it is a trauma-informed practice and there is greater attention paid to creating safety and containment. In addition to being rooted in tantra and trauma resolution, this style of Yoga Nidra is influenced by ecopsychology and ancient alchemical systems, and incorporates elements of hypnotherapy and shamanic journeying to support the exploration and healing of the subconscious, collective unconscious, and spirit realms. It is a dynamic, multicultural, holistic, transformative, and healing experience.
When should I fly in and out of Hawaii? We begin the retreat on the evening of Sunday September 5, and end on Saturday morning September 11. You will be flying into Kahului Airport (OGG).
Should I rent a car? This is a personal decision. There will be a group shuttle to and from the airport. However, you might want to rent a car so that you can feel free to explore the island at your leisure. There will be ample free time every day and you are encouraged to explore the island how you choose - a rental car could be a great resource for that. Uber and Lyft and not reliable since the retreat center is remote.
